ADDING A RACORE 100 VG/ANYLAN ADAPTER M814x TO AN EXISTING NT SERVER

Abstract: This document contains instructions on installing and configuring a Racore 100VG/AnyLAN Adapter in a Microsoft NT 3.50 Server.

Note: These instructions are for use with an existing Server. Refer to your Microsoft NT Server manual for instructions on installing an NT Server for the first time.

1. Starting point: At the main group window.
2. In the main group window select "the control panel icon."
3. In the control panel window select the "Network" icon.
4. In the Network settings window select "Add Adapter button."
5. Scroll down to and highlight and Requires disk from manufacture, then select "continue."
6. Insert disk with Racore driver and associated files (in root directory) and select "OK."
7. In the Select OEM Option window the Racore 100VG/AnyLAN NDIS Driver is highlighted, select "OK."
8. In the RVGNDIS 100 VG/AnyLAN Adapter Card Setup, set the configuration to match the Adapter.
9. The Adapter is shipped with these settings but may be changed to match the requirements of your computer:

Base I-O Port 300H
IRQ Level 3
Shared Memory D0000
Speed AUTO SELECT then select "OK."

10. In the Network settings window verify that the installed adapter highlighted is the Racore card. Select

"OK."

11. A window NWLink IPX/SPX Protocol Configuration may appear if you have installed this software. The Racore driver is highlighted. Options include:

Frame Type: Auto detect. Select "OK."

12. In the "windows Network settings Change" - select "restart Now" to make the changes take effect.
